Strategy
| Strategy Our idea is to enhance community redevelopment by engaging in three mutually-beneficial activities: reclaiming and revitalizing vacant land; implementing innovative green strategies such as planting bio-fuel feedstock (sunflower, canola, and switch grass crops); and providing education and “green collar” job training services for urban youth, entry level workers, and residents of economically distressed communities in Greater Pittsburgh.
By facilitating the growth of crops for bio-fuel on vacant, blighted, and abandoned lands, we utilize wasted resources and introduce new industries and technologies to communities disconnected from such opportunities. This also serves a demand for increased production of local goods through the remediation and preparation of vast amounts of vacant lands in urban and suburban areas.
